A crowd of over 800 Long Islanders attended the 15th Annual Long Island Go Red For Women Luncheon on Wednesday, February 11, 2016. The sea of red could be seen throughout all the rooms at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
This year’s honorees included Linda Ressa, Sales Manager, New Construction Specialist, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and Community Honoree-Premiere Cardiology.
Those in attendance also heard from heart and stroke survivors Julie Lycksell, Robin Musmanno and Nancy Magrini-Cavallone. These women’ stories were an inspiration to everyone in the crowd.
“Being a part of this event from start to almost finish was an amazing experience” said Michelle Schmitt, Partner in the Real Estate Group at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP. who chaired this years’ event but was unable to attend because of the birth of her twin sons the week before. Leeana Karlson, Co-host of the Morning Show with Steve & Leeana on K98.3 did an amazing job as event emcee.
The American Heart Association’s 15th Annual Go Red For Women Luncheon combined an elegant luncheon reception, incredible auction and networking opportunities. The Luncheon featured educational breakout sessions presented by recognized and credentialed healthcare professionals, providing women with information, resources and hope to take action and live a longer, stronger life.
