18th Annual Go Red For Women Luncheon Enormous Success

A crowd of over 900 Long Islanders attended the 18th Annual Long Island Go Red For Women Luncheon on Wednesday, February 27, 2019.  The sea of red could be seen throughout all the rooms at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

 

This year’s Luncheon honored the employees of Voxx International Corporation, Asia Lee and Stephen T. Greenberg, MD, Greenberg Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology. Kathy Munsch will received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Heart Association. The honorees are committed to raising support and creating awareness about heart disease and stroke especially, as it pertains to women.  Maria A. Grasso, Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Secretary of Flushing Financial Corporation and Flushing Bank was Chair of the Luncheon. Guests also heard from Yvonne Fleming, who received the first heart transplant on Long Island. Tamsen Fadal from PIX 11 emceed the event.

 

The American Heart Association’s 18th Annual Go Red For Women Luncheon combined an elegant luncheon reception, incredible auction and networking opportunities. The Luncheon featured educational breakout sessions presented by recognized and credentialed healthcare professionals, providing women with information, resources and hope to take action and live a longer, stronger life.
