Now more than ever, the American Heart Association is proud to partner with Brookfield as a 2021 Healthy for Good sponsor. Together, we aim to improve the health of New York City ‘s most vulnerable populations with a key emphasis on improving healthy food access and improving nutrition security for the more than 1.7 million New Yorkers in need.

As part of this partnership, Leila Araiche and Brian Kingston of Brookfield Properties, will serve as the NYC Heart Challenge Executive Co-Chairs in 2021. Leila will be the first female Executive Chair in this event’s 40-year history.

“Brookfield has been a supporter of the American Heart Association’s Healthy for Good movement for many years, and we are proud to host the Wall Street Run & Heart Walk at Brookfield Place every Spring,” said Leila Araiche, Brookfield, 2021 NYC Heart Challenge Executive Co-Chair. “This year, we are fully embracing the Heart Challenge as a movement to improve the health of our workforce and our community, which is exactly what our city needs right now. It is an honor to serve as the first female Executive Chair of this landmark campaign. I look forward to working with the American Heart Association and the thousands of volunteers who make this such a unique experience.”

“Our annual involvement with the American Heart Association is a highlight for all of us at Brookfield, allowing our staff to come together, get exercise, learn about our health and raise funds for a worthy cause,” said Brian Kingston, Brookfield, 2021 NYC Heart Challenge Executive Co-Chair. “As we evolve our partnership with the American Heart Association in these times, our focus remains on improved health for all, and we won’t stop until impact is felt throughout all five boroughs. Thank you to the Association for inviting Leila and myself to serve as Executive Co-Chairs.”
