Central Massachusetts radio show highlights upcoming Heart and Stroke Ball

The executive director of the American Heart Association in central Massachusetts and the chairwoman of the region’s Heart and Stroke Ball appeared on the Talk of the Commonwealth radio show on Wednesday morning.

Brian Shankey, who leads the AHA’s efforts in Greater Worcester, provided an overview of the work of the American Heart Association and discussed how the organization is addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. Sherri Pitcher, a senior vice president at Fidelity Bank who is also chairing this year’s ball, spoke about how the loss of her father to heart disease led her to become engaged with the American Heart Association.

Talk of the Commonwealth airs mornings from 6-10 a.m. on the Radio Worcester Network. Its host, Hank Stolz, will be returning as emcee of the Central Massachusetts Heart and Stroke Ball on Thursday, April 22.
