Doug DeSchutter Named Co-Chair of American Heart Association Golf & Tennis Classic

The American Heart Association is proud to announce that Doug DeSchutter will be the Co-Chair of the American Heart Association’s 32nd Annual Long Island Golf & Tennis Classic, A Joel Hamroff Memorial Tribute. This year’s event will take place on Tuesday, June 9th at the Meadow Brook Club in Jericho and the Piping Rock Club in Locust Valley.

Doug is President, Broadridge Customer Communications and a member of Broadridge’s Executive Committee. His responsibilities also include Broadridge’s digital services and overall digital strategy.  Prior to assuming his current role, Doug led Broadridge’s   U.S. proxy and prospectus services.

He was the Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer for Broadridge, responsible for mergers and acquisitions and strategy, from 2007 to 2009. Prior to the spin-off, he served in various strategy and corporate development roles for Automatic Data Processing (ADP). Prior to joining ADP in 2002, he was Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions at Lehman Brothers focusing on the technology sector.

Mr. DeSchutter is a founder and board member of Inlet LLC, a digital communications exchange. Doug is Chair of the Organizational Studies Leadership Committee for the University of Michigan, and a mentor for Columbia University’s Executive M.S. in Technology Management program.  Doug also serves on the Board of the American Heart Association for Long Island.

Doug holds both a B.S. Engineering and B.A. Economics degree from The University of Michigan, and an MBA from Duke University.

Doug currently resides in Lloyd Harbor, New York with his wife Wendi and sons Ben (18) and Tyler (16).
