The American Heart Association announces local author Paul S. Boynton will provide the keynote address at its annual Manchester Go Red For Women Luncheon on Friday, September 30th, 2016. More than 400 women and men are expected to attend the luncheon which is designed to empower local women with education & awareness on their number one health risk, heart disease.
Paul Boynton is the President & CEO of The Moore Center. He’s also a blogger for The Huffington Post, The Good Men’s Project, a columnist for the NH Business Review and a frequent host of a radio show on Empower Radio. He is the Chief Optimist and author of several books including “Begin with Yes.” His Facebook community, which is nearing 2 million followers, has proven to be a source of inspiration for those who are taking steps toward a more meaningful life.
The Go Red Luncheon is designed to educate women about the fact that one in three females in the United States have some form of cardiovascular disease, and provide women with the resources they need to prevent it. It is estimated that only 21 percent of women view heart disease as a leading health threat. Cardiovascular disease claims the lives of more than 460,000 women nationally each year causing almost one death per minute but more than 80% is preventable through education and research.

Events like the Go Red For Women Luncheon also help fund the life-saving work of the American Heart Association including public and professional education programs, awareness, advocacy and research specific to women’s heart health.
