Washington, D.C. – Lawyers Have Heart brings runners and walkers — of all ages, levels of experience — to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke. In 2018, the event raised more than $1 million, and we hope to exceed that goal in 2019. Since its creation, Lawyers Have Heart has raised over $13 million to benefit the American Heart Association to further its mission of being a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.
While largely supported by the D.C. legal and corporate community, Lawyers Have Heart 10K Run & 5K Run & Fun Walk is open to the entire Washington DC community, and all are welcome to participate and support the cause.
“I am honored to serve as the 2019 Lawyers Have Heart Chair! This year, we hope to add another $1M to the event’s overall impact. To achieve our goal, we need more law firms, corporations and the general Washington, D.C. public to join our fight for healthier lives in our community. We hope you will join us and strengthen our fight against heart disease and stroke,” said Ambrose.
“Lawyers have Heart is the premier athletic philanthropic event, specifically led by the greater Washington, D.C. legal community, that enables employees and friends to give back to the community, while improving their personal health and building positive relationships. I am honored to serve in a leadership position in 2019 and hope to see more sponsor and teams join us on the start line! Together we can save more lives, “said Sher.
Lawyers Have Heart takes place on June 8, 2019, at the Washington Harbour in Georgetown. For more information on the event, visit: www.lawyershaveheartdc.org
