Two people were honored by the American Heart Association this week for saving a man’s life after he went into cardiac arrest at a Norwood gym.
Paula Verderber and Scott Leverenz received the Heartsaver Hero Award for performing CPR on Chris Dull after he collapsed and became unresponsive at the end of a group exercise class at CrossFit Prosperity in June.
The three people were re-united this week, a meeting that was covered by multiple news outlets, including The Boston Globe, WCVB Channel 5, 7 News Boston, CBS Boston, NBC Boston and NECN. Watch coverage of the event below.

In addition to performing CPR, the pair also used a defibrillator until Dull regained consciousness. Emergency responders told the news outlet that without that quick thinking, Dull may not have survived.
