The mission of the American Heart Association in New York City is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. To achieve this mission, the Association, its staff and volunteers, attempts to make an extraordinary impact by meeting people where they are. To that end, this month our team will be active around the city, working to improve and extend the lives of all New Yorkers.

Go Red For Women® Educational Symposium “The Heart-Brain Connection” sponsored by Northwell Health

Description: This special event will bring women of NYC together to gain a better understanding of heart and brain health and how to live a healthy life.

2017 Brooklyn Heart & Stroke Walk

Description: Spend a morning with your friends, family, and colleagues walking 3 miles through scenic Brooklyn Bridge Park and Brooklyn Heights in support of the American Heart Association’s mission to end cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
Service: AHA will host the 2017 Brooklyn Heart & Stroke Walk, with a special “Hearty Halloween” theme featuring music and entertainment provided by radio personalities from Nash FM and Radio 103.9, free health screenings, cardiovascular advice from experts, giveaways, and a Kids’ Zone with fun Halloween games and activities for all ages.
