Bidding on the great packages

A fun night out for an important cause brought more than 100 people together at the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s first-ever Red Hot. Red Heart. reception Thursday night at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown.

Attendees enjoyed an evening out and bid on packages donated by local businesses while helping to fight the number one killer of women: heart disease. The event raised more than $18,000 for the Go Red For Women campaign.

Having fun and getting active on the dance floor

By the end of the evening, the dance floor was full with people getting active, dancing for fun and for health.

Money raised at Thursday night’s event will help pay for lifesaving research, continuing medical education, and helps empower women to fight heart disease through the Go Red For Women movement.

Red Hot. Red Heart. is sponsored locally by Wegmans and media sponsors 93Q, CNY Central, Eagle Newspapers, and Syracuse Woman Magazine. Go Red For Women is nationally sponsored by Macy’s.

The main event of the Syracuse Go Red For Women campaign will be the Go Red For Women Luncheon on Thursday, October 27th at the Oncenter Convention Center in Syracuse. For tickets or more information, call (315) 728-7542 or visit http://syracusegored.heart.org.
