Special Deliveries by WSFS Bank for All Babies Born During the Month of February in Philadelphia

February is Heart Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness of heart disease, the world’s leading cause of death.  Congenital heart defects are a form of heart disease and are the most common birth defect, affecting nearly 40,000 babies per year in the United States alone.

In honor of Heart Month, and in support of raising awareness towards congenital heart defects, Philadelphia Heart Ball sponsor, WSFS Bank’s employee volunteers generously donated their time to package over 400 “special delivery” bundles which were distributed to all newborn babies born throughout Penn Medicine hospitals over the course of the month.   The packages include valuable information about heart health and the importance of “financial wellbeing,” meant to start new families off on the right track.

We are grateful for WSFS Bank’s support to educate and support our community about these important issues.
