Lillie Shipman of Wilton has been nominated to become part of the American Heart Association Teen of Impact campaign in Connecticut. Lillie is the daughter of Frank and Haylee Shipman and is a Junior at the Wooster School in Danbury.
The newest program of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement, Teen of Impact provides teens with an opportunity to make changes in their own lives and their communities by taking charge of their own health, spreading the message of health to their communities, and advocating for policies to improve health. They will also fundraise to support the American Heart Association.
“I’m excited to have been nominated to be the Teen of Impact in Connecticut this year”, said Lillie Shipman. “As part of this year’s class of changemakers, this campaign gives me the opportunity to be part of a team that is working to make the greatest impact possible. Raising funds and awareness will support the mission of the American Heart Association while improving the health of our communities.”

Lillie became involved with the American Heart Association after her father, Frank had a life changing cardiac event in 2019. Lillie is an active lacrosse player, has a twin sister Sophie, and a younger brother Flynn. Her favorite classes are Geometry and English and she also has been playing a unique instrument called the Euphonium for seven years.
