Market 32 by Price Chopper, American Heart Association team up to help fight America’s No. 5 killer 

WHO:       Four stroke survivors, including the Stroke Ambassadors to the 2015 and 2016 Capital Region Heart Walk; stroke specialists and neurologists from local hospitals; pharmacy staff from Market 32 by Price Chopper; the public.

WHAT:     World Stroke Day call to action. Stroke survivors will share their stories; medical personnel will share warning signs and information about stroke and stroke prevention, including the FAST acronym; Market 32 by Price Chopper will provide blood pressure screenings.

WHEN:    11 A.M., THURSDAY, OCT. 29

 WHERE: Market 32 by Price Chopper, Shoppers World, 15 Park Ave., Clifton Park

WHY:       Stroke is the No. 5 killer of all Americans. The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association and Market 32 by Price Chopper are joining together to provide information and let people take action to prevent a stroke. High blood pressure is a risk factor for stroke, and Market 32 by Price Chopper will offer blood pressure screenings until 2 p.m. Knowing the acronym “FAST” lets people know what to do if someone they love is having a stroke.
