Ask What Matters?! supports ‘Life Is Why We Give’ campaign in Boston  

BOSTON— Every 40 seconds, someone in America experiences a stroke or a heart attack. This year, the American Heart Association, a global force for longer, healthier lives, is teaming up with companies around the country to change these outcomes through the Life Is Why We Give campaign.  

Through Life Is Why We Give, companies including Ask What Matters?!, a Boston-based consulting firm offering a range of coaching and training programs focused on increasing total well-being and performance,is giving back to the American Heart Association’s Lawyers Have Heart campaign. 

Ask What Matters?! supports ‘Life Is Why We Give’ campaign in Boston  

Through June 2021, Ask What Matters?! will donate 10 percent of revenue from its well-being workshops and programs associated with Lawyers Have Heart back to the American Heart Association. The giveback began in February of this year.  

“We are thrilled to be able to support the American Heart Association in their efforts to fight against cardiovascular disease and improve the well-being of the legal community,” said David Garten, co- founder of Ask What Matters?! 

Garten added that there is a need to promote well-being in the legal community to combat dramatic levels of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, suicide and overall health. 

Lawyers Have Heart is an annual 5K road race in Boston that brings together more than 2,000 runners in support of the American Heart Association’s mission. It also consists of year-long programming that promotes heart health and personal well-being among those working in the legal profession. 

Donations through Life is Why We Give allow the Association to:  

    • Fund research that can improve the health outcomes of heart and stroke patients 
    • Train more than 2.5 million high school students in CPR annually  
    • Support the work of local entrepreneurs and organizations working to improve health outcomes in under-resourced communities.
