The American Heart Association honored the top student fundraiser in the Mohawk Valley on Tuesday.
Jayden Zuccaro, a fourth grader at Glenfield Elementary School in Glenfield, raised $1,500 in the Kids Heart Challenge program. Since kindergarten, Jayden has raised more than $5,000 to help create a world of longer, healthier lives! Jayden was recognized during his school’s field days event.
The Kids Heart Challenge encourages heart-healthy behavior as students pledge to be more physically active, drink more water and do a good deed. Through the Kids Heart Challenge students learn healthy lifestyle habits for emotional and physical well-being and the value of community service by raising funds to help kids with special hearts.
