Reebok executive named chair of Boston Heart Walk

Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of death in Greater Boston, and Scott Daley, general manager of Reebok’s U.S. business, is working with the American Heart Association, a global force for healthier lives for all, to change that.

Daley will serve as chair of the 2024 Boston Heart Walk, a campaign focused on engaging local companies, their employees, and members of the community to join the fight against heart disease and stroke.

“I am incredibly excited to be working with an organization as well-regarded as the American Heart Association,” said Daley. “As someone who has personally benefited from the research and treatments the Association has supported, I am committed to helping them positively impact so many people’s lives in Greater Boston and beyond.”

As chair of the Boston Heart Walk, Daley will lead a team of executives to recruit companies and organizations to take part in the walk, which will be held at Boston Common on Saturday, Oct. 26. The leadership team and supporting organizations will raise funds for the American Heart Association while leading action-oriented conversations about employee health, corporate engagement, community health and community transformation.

Also serving in leadership roles on the Boston Heart Walk Executive Leadership Team are Mark Bechter, vice president, medical operations and patient advocacy, Kiniksa Pharmaceuticals; Jon DeFusco, senior director of pricing, Snyk; Shannon Duffy, senior assistant, Medtronic; Dr. Stephen Juraschek, clinician investigator, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; Michelle Leffler, executive director, EY; Linda Lennox, vice president, corporate communications and chief of staff, Lantheus; Dana Martin, senior vice president, medical affairs and chief patient officer, Cogent Biosciences; Brian Williamson, partner, PwC.

“We are so appreciative of Scott for his commitment to battling heart disease and stroke,” said Thomas Lee, chair of the American Heart Association’s Board of Directors in Boston. “Through the Heart Walk, we are driving maximum impact through employee engagement and corporate fundraising. Together, we can save lives right here in our community.”

To make a bigger impact, Reebok, under Daley’s leadership, will be integrating the American Heart Association’s Life is Why campaign into their product and marketing channels in late 2025, allowing customers to donate to the Association for every purchase of a specified product.

With over 20 years of experience at Reebok, Daley has served in numerous senior leadership positions, notably as vice president of global footwear for a decade. A graduate of Boston University and Northeastern University’s executive MBA program, Daley is known for his curiosity and commitment to ongoing learning.

He lives in Franklin, Mass., with his wife, Brooke, and their two children, Gryffin, 15, and Grier, 13.

Heart disease and stroke are largely preventable. How you eat, move and manage stress impacts your well-being, physically and mentally. Heart Walk provides resources, tools and activities to support both mental and physical well-being for employers and employees.
