Each spring, American Heart Association volunteers visit the Massachusetts State House for our annual ‘Heart on the Hill’ lobby day. Throughout the day, these advocates visit the offices of their state senators and representatives and ask them to support bills being championed by the American Heart Association.
This community of fathers and mothers, neighbors and friends, researchers and caregivers, are passionate about creating a Massachusetts that’s free of heart disease and stroke. At this year’s event, we talked to some of our most dedicated volunteers about why they advocate for heart-healthy and stroke-smart communities.
