The American Heart Association, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (@BCBSRI) and the Rhode Island Foundation were happy to sponsor the 2019 Rhode Island PE & Me Contest! The contest invites all students from across Rhode Island in grades K-5 to design a postcard that shows what they love about physical education (PE) in school. The winners were honored in a ceremony at the Rhode Island State House on May 22nd. The winners are listed from left to right: Grades K-2 3rd place – Benjamin Christensen, Washington Oak School, Coventry, 1st place Hanna Ramirez, Ella Risk Elementary School, Central Falls, 2nd place Hailey Ficca, North Smithfield Elementary School, North Smithfield. Grades 3-5 3rd place – Aubrey Campbell, Richmond Elementary School, Richmond, 2nd place – Danilson Andrade, Cunningham Elementary School, Pawtucket and 1st place – Annhu Le, Coleman Elementary School, Woonsocket.
