The American Heart Association is grateful to WCVB Channel 5 Boston for producing and airing a special public service announcement in support of National Wear Red Day, held on Friday, Feb. 7.
The PSA features Jessica Brown, who co-anchors WCVB Channel 5’s 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. newscasts, and also serves as the station’s medical reporter. Jessica has emceed both the American Heart Association’s Boston Heart Walk and the Boston Heart and Stroke Ball, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to raising awareness about cardiovascular disease—the No. 1 killer of women.
Through this collaboration, WCVB is amplifying the Go Red for Women movement, encouraging people across Massachusetts to wear red, learn about their heart health, and take action to prevent heart disease and stroke.
