AHA & AL DÍA Present Roundtable Addressing Health Inequity in Philadelphia

Imagine a community where healthy choices are equitable and accessible, where your ZIP code doesn’t determine your health. The AHA in Philadelphia partnered with Spanish Media AL DÍA to present Health Equity: No Matter Where You Live, a conversation about social determinants of health and access to quality care in Philadelphia.  The conversation will focus on how community members and organizations like the American Heart Association are working to eliminate racial bias in healthcare and support initiatives and legislation that will provide everyone in Philadelphia the opportunity to live a long, healthy life.

Health Equity: No Matter Where You Live panelists will feature community members and volunteers, including: Dr. William Gray, System Chief of Cardiovascular Disease at Main Line Health & Co-Director of Lankenau Heart Institute, and Board Chair, AHA Southeastern PA; Judy Emmons, Director of Primary Care, Congresso De Latinos Unidos; Rev. Dr. Lorina Marshall-Blake, President Independence Blue Cross Foundation & VP Community Affairs, Independence Blue Cross; and Dr. Aditi Kalla, Assistant Professor, Clinical Medicine, Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.

The conversation will be moderated by Yaima Crespo, Reporter, Telemundo.
