Hospital Leader to Chair Southern NJ Go Red For Women LuncheonThe American Heart Association recently announced that Stephanie Fendrick, FACHE, Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Virtua, will serve as chair of the Southern NJ Go Red For Women Luncheon scheduled for Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Mansion on Main Street in Voorhees, NJ.

The Go Red For Women Luncheon is one of the premier women’s events in South Jersey focusing on cardiovascular health and wellness in women.  As a cornerstone piece of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement, this social-educational event focuses attention on uniting women to prevent or survive the No. 1 and No. 5 killers of women – heart disease and stroke.  Nationally sponsored by Macy’s and CVS Health, this vibrant movement inspires women to make lifestyle changes, mobilize communities and shape policies to save lives.

Fendrick brings passion and great leadership to the Go Red For Women Luncheon and is dedicated to partnering together with the American Heart Association to engage local business and community leaders in empowering women to get informed about the risks of heart disease and stroke and to make healthy lifestyle changes.

As the senior vice president and chief strategy officer for Virtua, Fendrick provides executive leadership around clarifying, aligning and communicating Virtua’s vision and then executing supporting strategies across the entire network. Her role includes exploring and developing relationships with other providers and organizations to support Virtua’s mission to improve the health of the community.

“I am honored to partner with our South Jersey community to educate and empower women to listen to their hearts,” stated Fendrick.  “The Go Red movement is a great platform from which we can encourage all the women in our lives to make their health a priority and to commit to making better choices to improve their heart health.”

Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women.  Heart disease and stroke kill 1 in 3 women – more than all cancers combined.  The good news is that 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented with education and lifestyle changes.  Women who Go Red live healthier lives.

“Commit to yourself and the women in your life by supporting the Go Red For Women Luncheon, which provides resources and awareness for research and education and empowers women to lead healthier lives to reduce risk for heart disease and stroke,” continued Fendrick.

The Go Red For Women Luncheon raises funds to support this lifesaving movement, supporting cutting-edge research, community programs and professional education focused on cardiovascular health.
