Ocean City, NJ – April 17, 2024 – Lace up your sneakers and get ready to take steps towards a healthier heart at the Southern NJ Heart Walk, a significant community event aimed at combating heart disease. Scheduled for May 18th, this annual American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Walk brings together individuals, families, and organizations across Southern New Jersey to raise awareness and funds for cardiovascular health.
Heart disease remains a leading cause of death globally, with millions affected each year. However, initiatives like the Southern NJ Heart Walk strive to change this narrative by advocating for heart-healthy lifestyles and supporting crucial research efforts.

The event promises a morning filled with camaraderie, inspiration and meaningful action. Participants will embark on a scenic walk on the Ocean City Boardwalk, enjoy educational activities and will have the opportunity to connect with fellow advocates along the way. Home base will be located at the Ocean City Sports & Civic Center where the whole family can enjoy live entertainment, a fun-filled kid zone and tents from all event sponsors.
Funds raised through the Heart Walk will support critical research, education and advocacy efforts led by the American Heart Association. These initiatives aim to empower individuals to make heart-healthy choices, improve access to quality care and ultimately save lives.
