On December 3rd, The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association hosted the first Awards Breakfast in NYC in an effort to increase awareness and drive action among Americans across the entire stroke continuum of care; prevention, acute treatment, and post-stroke rehabilitation. These awards celebrated the lives of 2 survivors, Nancy Jarecki who survived a brain aneurysm and Eric Jordan who survived an Ischemic stroke, both saved by theirs sons. Also honored was Dr. Peter Kim Nelson for his contributions to neuroscience that has significantly contributed to the identification and treatment of stroke patients. A huge thank you to our friends at Medtronic for their sponsorship of this event.
