The mission of the American Heart Association in New York City is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. To achieve this mission, the Association, its staff and volunteers, attempts to make an extraordinary impact by meeting people where they are. To that end, this month our team will be active around the city, working to improve and extend the lives of all New Yorkers.

National Eat Smart Month

Description:The American Heart Association is encouraging Americans to Eat Smart during the month of November. Our National Eating Healthy Day has been expanded to a month-long celebration. Eat Smart Month is part of our Healthy For Good movement encouraging people to Eat smart. Add color. Move more. Be well.

TCS New York City Marathon

Location: Course covers the Five Boroughs
Description: The TCS New York City Marathon course is a 26.2-mile block party through the world’s most diverse city, and a model for big-city marathons around the world.
Service: American Heart Association will support Team Heart & Stroke, a group of 40 runners from across the country who are running the marathon to raise funds to advance our mission.
