The American Heart Association 2017 Scientific Sessions were held on November 11–15 in Anaheim, California. This incredible, five-day event attracted thousands of doctors, scientists, researchers, investigators, and other healthcare professionals from around the globe who came together to discuss new science to reduce the impact of cardiovascular disease. Attendees built their calendars around this meeting because of its extensive offerings, to listen to the latest findings, and to connect in person with their peers.
Over 600 professionals from across the Mid-Atlantic Affiliate, attended this year’s Scientific Sessions. Some of the highlights included, the release of the new high blood pressure guidelines and the announcement of the Center for Acceleration Drug Discovery.
