The American Heart Association’s You’re the Cure advocacy network is a valuable tool that you can use to make a real difference in your community and state. How does it work? We connect you with opportunities to engage with your lawmakers on issues that are important to you and your health – and we are here to inform you about the issues and accompany you, every step of the way.
Last month, we introduced our affiliate-wide monthly Grassroots call. We were amazed to see how many of you called in to learn more about improving your advocacy skills – and we are excited to invite you back to join us for our next call.
Join us Monday, March 26 from 11:30 am-12:00 pm as we discuss what it means to be an advocate. How can you hone your skills? What is your passion? How far can your advocacy really go? What are some success stories from our very own advocates throughout the affiliate? Call in information will be sent once you RSVP.
We will be offering these monthly 30-minute calls for all of our advocates across the Mid-Atlantic Affiliate – both new advocates and those who’ve been engaged with us before. We would be remiss if we don’t encourage you to invite friends, family, even coworkers who you believe may also be interested in hearing how they can make a difference and save lives through You’re the Cure. Just invite them to RSVP!
Many states will have elections this fall, so now is a great time to take advantage of the opportunity to equip yourself with the knowledge you’ll need to be an even stronger advocate throughout the year.
Claim your place and join us. We can’t wait to chat with you on March 26!
