Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP partner Sarah Bouchard Will Lead Philadelphia’s Go Red for Women into the Next Decade!

American Heart Association is proud to announce that Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP partner Sarah Bouchard will chair the 2020 Go Red for Women campaign in Philadelphia.  In her role, Bouchard will lead the 2020 fundraising efforts for Go Red, which encourages women to take charge of their heart health and combat the No. 1 and No. 5 killers of American women, heart disease and stroke.

In her professional career, Bouchard litigates highly sensitive and complex harassment, whistleblower, noncompetition, and trade secret matters across the United States. As co-leader of the firm’s whistleblower group, Sarah oversees litigation as it pertains to workplace regulation & equality. Bouchard leads the firm’s Title IX taskforce, focusing on issues of discrimination and sexual harassment in the education setting. Bouchard advises employers on internal misconduct and recommends appropriate responses and remediation measures.

“I have been inspired by the work of Go Red for Women, which encourages women to take charge of their health,” explains Bouchard.   “Go Red for Women has made a significant impact on the rate at which women suffer heart disease in this country by educating and fundraising.  I look forward to leading the 2020 efforts here in Philadelphia,” Bouchard continued.

“Having such a passionate leader, who is dedicated to women’s workplace wellness is a gift to our 2020 Go Red for Women mission,” says Jennifer Davis, Executive Director & Senior Vice President of the Philadelphia American Heart Association.  “Under Sarah’s leadership, we will reach hundreds of thousands of women in Philadelphia and encourage them to prioritize their health” continued Davis.

The American Heart Association raises funds from local and national Go Red for Women activities to support awareness, research, education and community programs to benefit women. Unfortunately, only 55 percent of women realize heart disease is their number one killer and less than half know what are considered healthy levels for cardiovascular risk factors like blood pressure and cholesterol. The Go Red for Women movement works to make sure women know they are at risk so they can take action to protect their health.  Each spring, Philadelphia’s efforts culminate in the Go Red for Women luncheon, an event attended by 850+ Go Red supporters at the Crystal Tea Room in Center City.
