35 Massachusetts organizations recognized for commitment to improving cardiovascular care

Thirty-five healthcare organizations across Massachusetts have been recognized by the American Heart Association for their commitment to improving heart health and preventing strokes through innovative outpatient programs.

The facilities earned Gold or Gold Plus status in three American Heart Association Outpace CVD™ outpatient programs: Target: BP™, Target: Type 2 Diabetes™, and Check. Change. Control. Cholesterol™.

These awards highlight the organizations’ dedication to following the latest research-backed guidelines to help patients manage major cardiovascular risk factors, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and Type 2 diabetes. Cardiovascular disease, which affects nearly half of all U.S. adults, remains the leading cause of death in the country, making early intervention and treatment critical.

The Association’s award programs help hospitals nationwide adhere to evolving evidence-based practices, providing patients with the highest standard of care.
