Firm partners with American Heart Association’s year-round campaign to improve health in Southern New England
PROVIDENCE, MARCH 4, 2025 — For more than 100 years, the American Heart Association has committed to advancing health and hope for everyone, everywhere. Through Heart of Southern New England Heart Ball campaign, DiSanto Priest & Co has volunteered to spearhead this year’s goal of raising $400,000 and will lead community-wide efforts to help ensure every individual in Southern New England has the opportunity for a full, healthy life.

DiSanto Priest & Co has seen the impact firsthand on how cardiovascular disease can affect the lives of employees, clients, friends and family members. Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer in the United States. One in three RI adults (290,735 people) has diagnosed high blood pressure (hypertension), but some are at higher risk than others.
“Our connection (at DiSanto Priest) to the American Heart Association’s mission is deeply personal,” shared the firm in a released statement. “Several of our staff members have close family members that are heart disease survivors, bearing testament to the life-saving work of the American Heart Association. These personal experiences have strengthened our resolve to support this vital cause. This aligns perfectly with our core value of maintaining a supportive work environment where our people – our greatest asset – can thrive both personally and professionally.”
The Heart Ball celebrates hope and progress made through the dedication and passion of all who support the American Heart Association’s efforts to make an impact on the health of the community. These efforts include the relentless pursuit of scientific discovery, public policy change, equitable health for the under resourced and underrepresented, and education to equip the community to take control of their health.
“DiSanto Priest is a local business which demonstrates outstanding leadership and dedication to improving the health and wellbeing of the community. Their passion and commitment to the American Heart Association’s mission, deep understanding of community needs, and unwavering drive to make a difference positions them as the perfect choice to spearhead this campaign and event,” says Michelle Clark, Executive Director for the American Heart Association. “We welcome DiSanto Priest to the Heart of Southern New England, an initiative that centers around better health for every individual by focusing on critical issues and work to equitably improve and save lives.”
As New England’s premier independent accounting, tax, and advisory firm, DiSanto Priest & Co’s commitment to excellence extends far beyond our professional services. Our vision encompasses not only providing the highest quality client service and financial security to privately held businesses and individuals but also making positive changes within our community through our private charitable foundation.
For several years, DiSanto Priest & Co has been an active participant in the Southern New England Heart Ball, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to the organization’s mission. The firm has committed $50,000 to the 2025 campaign and will be collaborating with the AHA’s work on nutrition security in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Healthy food serves as the basis of cardiovascular health and eating healthy meals is easier when families can afford, or have access to affordable, nutritious foods.
“By working together with the American Heart Association, we hope to inspire other organizations and individuals to join us in this vital mission,” shared DiSanto Priest in a statement. “This partnership exemplifies how we live our values of providing real-life solutions through strategic alliances and maintaining a well-managed firm that takes responsibility for both our clients and our community. It represents not just a commitment to better health outcomes, but a testament to the power of community collaboration in creating meaningful change.”
The 2025 Southern New England Heart Ball is sponsored by DiSanto Priest & Co, PensionMark Meridien and Encompass Health and will be held on October 24, 2025, at the Omni Hotel in Providence. The annual event is a night to celebrate the Association’s year-round efforts to break down barriers to health in Southern New England. Throughout the evening, the American Heart Association, the world’s leading nonprofit organization focused on heart and brain health, will honor volunteers and patrons, feature stories of survivors, and entertain guests with dinner, dancing and an exciting auction.
