Kathleen Stanley of Sterling National Bank to lead 2021-22 Long Island Go Red for Women® Campaign

Kathleen Stanley, Executive Managing Director at Sterling National Bank will chair the 2021-2022 Long Island Go Red for Women campaign.

The American Heart Association, the world’s leading nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke, today announced that Kathleen Stanley, Executive Managing Director at Sterling National Bank will chair the 2021-2022 Long Island Go Red for Women® campaign.  Go Red for Women is a worldwide initiative designed to increase women’s heart health awareness and serve as a catalyst for change to improve the lives of women locally, nationally, and globally.

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death of women in the United States, claiming more lives each year than all forms of cancer combined. Cardiovascular disease continues to be a woman’s greatest health threat, taking the life of one in every three women.

“Sterling National Bank is excited to continue our partnership with the American Heart Association to further focus attention on women’s heart health,” said Ms. Stanley.  “I see remarkable stories of adversity and recovery every day.  Seeing firsthand how the work of the American Heart Association affects the lives of everyday Americans is what inspired me to chair the Go Red for Women campaign, and I know we can take our message of self-care and prevention to more women than ever.”

With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Ms. Stanley is responsible for the Law Firm Banking, Non-Profit, Property Management, Municipal Finance, CRA, Support and Servicing HUB and Treasury Management groups.

“We are thrilled to have Kathleen Stanley’s experience, conviction and passion help to drive Go Red on Long Island. Together, we know that we will have a positive impact on the lives of women in our community and the families that depend on them,” said Tara Lee, Executive Director of the American Heart Association on Long Island.

This year’s Go Red for Women campaign and its local achievements will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Long Island Go Red for Women Luncheon, sponsored nationally by CYS Health and locally by Mount Sinai South Nassau and Petro Home Services.  For more information about Go Red for Women visit longislandgoredluncheon.heart.org or contact Anne Thorsen at [email protected].
