Applications for the 2026 Class of Survivors will open September 2025.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the No. 1 killer of women and affects nearly half of women ages 20 and older, yet too many women remain unaware of their greatest health threat. But we’re not backing down. Because women have something better, stronger, and more powerful – we have each other.

The 2026 New York City Go Red for Women Class of Survivors will represent an empowering sisterhood that shares their captivating stories to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke and inspire other women to take action to improve their health and well-being.

These remarkable women will serve as local ambassadors for the Go Red for Women movement, appearing in media, marketing collateral, awareness campaigns, on the web, and at local events throughout 2026.

Members of the 2026 Go Red for Women Class of survivors will participate in:

• Video and photo shoot for marketing, editorial and promotional content
• Monthly calls with American Heart Association staff and the 2026 Class of Survivors
• Opportunities to contribute content to Go Red for Women and American Heart Association local websites and social media platforms
• Potential opportunities to participate in local media and events
• Attend the 2026 New York City Go Red for Women Celebration
• Other exciting opportunities not listed above throughout the term
