Inspired by 9 year old heart survivor, Sammi Fagan, will Skate Rhode Island Red to raise awareness and funds for life saving research against heart disease- the No. 1 Killer in Women. Join Sammi, the P.Bruins, PC Friars, Boss Arena, or the URI Rams at one of these events. Can’t make it? Go Red for Women is the American Heart Association’s national movement to end heart disease and stroke in women. The American Heart Association raises funds from local and national Go Red for Women activities to support awareness, research, education and community programs to benefit women. The movement provides a platform for women and their families to lead healthier lives, driving collective action for community transformation. It also encourages women to demand equal access to healthcare for themselves and their families and explore STEM-related careers.
