As plans are underway for the 2023 Lehigh Valley and Berks Heart Ball, Melanie Falcon and Jim Vaughn, anchors of 69 News at 4:00pm on WFMZ-TV, return as your emcees for a night of celebration and inspiration. Joining them are this year’s co-chair’s Kyle Egge, Regional VP with Ciocca Dealerships and Mairin Egge, Interior Decorator and Artist. The husband-and-wife duo has been tasked with leading this year’s community-wide campaign. The Heart Ball celebrates progress made through the dedication and passion of all who support the American Heart Association’s Heart of Lehigh Valley and Berks, a year-round effort aimed at investing in and saving and improving lives in our community.
“Mairin and Kyle exemplify true leadership and commitment to the health and well-being of the Lehigh Valley and Berks community, and they are the ideal co-chairs to head our Heart Ball campaign. As a heart survivor, I understand the impact of the American Heart Association’s work. We welcome them to lead this initiative that centers around better health for every individual by focusing on critical issues to equitably improve and save lives. The 2023 Lehigh Valley and Berks Heart Ball will take place on February 11 at The Club at Twin Lakes. The annual celebratory event is a night to honor survivors, patrons and volunteers of the American Heart Association, the world’s leading nonprofit organization focused on heart and brain health. The evening will feature stories from survivors, as well as dinner, dancing, and an exciting auction. The American Heart Association’s Heart of Lehigh Valley and Berks campaign is a year-round effort culminating at the annual Heart Ball. The initiative raises funds to support the American Heart Association’s mission to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives while supporting priority issues in the local community. Managing high blood pressure and hands-only CPR have been identified by the American Heart Association Lehigh Valley and Berks board for 2023 to propel work to support the Association’s 2024 Health Equity Impact Goal by reducing barriers to health care access and quality.
