Meet our 2025 Teens of Impact for the Greater Washington Region

Every year across the country, a select group of teens are nominated to be a part of Teen of Impact because of their passion and drive to make a difference. This nine-week competition is relentlessly focused on heart health. Through April 10, 2025, nominees work to build campaign plans, recruit Impact teams, and inspire their networks to support the American Heart Association’s lifesaving mission.

Meet the two local high schoolers participating in this year’s campaign:

Addy Kiefaber is a junior at Centerville High School and a soccer player. As a proud member of the National Charity League, Addy volunteers year-round alongside her mother and other women in the Greater Washington Region to better their community. Inspired by her family’s history of heart disease, Addy is using her platform to honor her loved ones, raise awareness about heart health among her peers, and emphasize the importance of both physical and mental well-being. Learn more about Addy.

Caroline Perry, a sophomore at Fairfax High School, is deeply passionate about advocating for women’s heart health and making the world a better place. This cause is personal to her, as her own family has been greatly affected by heart disease. As she learned more about its impact on people of all ages, Caroline became driven to raise awareness about the urgent need to address disparities in research, education, and resources for women. She is on a mission to inspire her generation to take action for hearts everywhere. Learn more about Caroline.

This special duo will be celebrated for the overall impact they have on our mission and community. The teen who brings their community together to have the largest impact locally will be named a local 2025 Teen of Impact Award Winner. Additionally, the nominee who makes the greatest impact nationwide will be named the American Heart Association 2025 National Teen of Impact Award Winner.
