As the American Heart Association in New Hampshire begins its 2026–2027 fiscal year, it does so with a passionate team of volunteers committed to advancing its mission: to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. The Association welcomes a new chair and several new directors to its leadership team.
Stephen Hanlon, MD, a cardiologist with Elliot Hospital will continue his commitment as the Association’s board president and Matthew Johnson, JD, shareholder, Devine Millimet, will step up as the new Association board chair.
Continuing on the Association’s New Hampshire board are: Joshua Benton, senior vice president, The Executive Health and Fitness Center; Eric Frauwirth, educator; Dan Giuliani, senior vice president, M&T Bank; Tracie Murphy, customer service, Lactalis U.S. Yogurt; Michelle Ouellette, MD, interventional cardiologist, Catholic Medical Center; Vikas Veeranna, MD, cardiologist, Elliot Hospital; and Michael Ramshaw, general manager of E&R Cleaners.
The newest members of the Association’s Board of Directors are: Thomas Carter, director of business development, Freedom Energy; Eleanor Wm. Dahar, attorney, Dahar Law Firm; Christina Ferrari, Esq., shareholder, Bernstein Shur Law; Micheal Fournier, superintendent, Bedford School District; Joe Graham, vice president, Primary Bank; Daryl Luter, president, Fulcrum & Associates and Richard Powell, MD, cardiologist, Dartmouth Health.
“As a volunteer-based organization, the American Heart Association relies on the dedication of people who are committed to our mission, and whose passion helps drive our success,” said Lindsay Colle, the Association’s vice president for development, Northern New England. “Board members work alongside the Association’s New Hampshire staff to advance its mission and fundraising priorities. The board oversees opportunities for investment in New Hampshire to improve health and well-being and will build on existing efforts around health care access and quality, nutrition and food security, blood pressure control, CPR awareness and more.”
