NH Heart Ball Honors Survivors and Heart Heroes

The 2019 New Hampshire Heart Ball will be held on April 13 at Wentworth by the Sea in New Castle, NH as a celebration of the mission, passion, work, and life-changing and life-saving achievements of the American Heart Association. The Heart Ball recognizes a remarkable community of volunteer advocates, champions and leaders. Heart disease and stroke are the nation’s No.1 and No.5 killers, but together we can change that.

The New Hampshire Heart Ball will begin by honoring April Merchant who bravely performed CPR on a truck driver who collapsed outside of where she works in Candia, NH. An ordinary day was saved by an extraordinary person and the man is now recovering with his wife and three children. The evening festivities will include a cocktail hour, dinner, and an exciting live auction.

The Heart Ball will end with the inspiring story of Parker Bolton, a 10-year-old from Pittsfield, NH who received a heart transplant almost one year ago. Parker was born with a congenital heart defect and is now thriving today. He is a shining example of the American Heart Association’s mission – to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.

The American Heart Association’s Heart Ball is the “must attend” social event of the season, where people come to network with peers and socialize with some of the region’s most influential people.  The New Hampshire Heart Ball recognizes and celebrates excellence in heart and stroke science, research, health care, treatment and community involvement; innovative and life-changing work that enables people from all walks of life to live healthier, stronger, longer lives.
