The American Heart Association, committed to creating a world of healthier lives for all, proudly announces Pat Srenaski of Woodbury as the recipient of the 2025 Greater Hartford Healthy for Good™ Lifestyle Change Award, sponsored by Stanley Black & Decker.
This award celebrates individuals who have made significant strides in improving their health and well-being. Pat Srenaski embodies the spirit of the Healthy for Good™ movement, which inspires lasting lifestyle changes through four simple steps: Eat smart. Add color. Move more. Be well.
A congenital heart disease survivor, Srenaski has transformed her personal journey into a mission to help others live healthier lives. She was nominated and selected for her impactful work with WomenHeart, a national network of women heart disease survivors trained to educate, advocate and lead in the fight against heart disease — the leading cause of death in women.
For the past nine years, Pat has served as a WomenHeart Champion, empowering women with knowledge about heart-healthy living and helping them make informed healthcare decisions. Under her leadership, participation in her support group has grown significantly, and her efforts have helped reduce stress and anxiety for countless women navigating heart disease.

“Pat’s dedication to heart health and her leadership as a WomenHeart Champion made her a clear choice for this year’s award,” said Adria Giordano, executive director of the American Heart Association in Connecticut. “She has turned her experience into a powerful source of hope and healing. Her compassion, advocacy and ability to connect with fellow survivors truly reflect what it means to live Healthy for Good.”
The Greater Hartford Heart Walk, held on Saturday, September 6, celebrated heart and stroke survivors and raised more than $250,000 to support lifesaving cardiovascular research and education.
