Mark Mumford, Executive Vice President, Chief Executive, Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware Valley, will serve as Chair of the Wilmington Heart Walk 2022. The Heart Walk will be held on the Riverfront in Wilmington on Sunday, October 9 and will support the American Heart Association, whose mission is to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.

I have a strong personal commitment to the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association, in honor of my wonderful daughter, who is an inspiring survivor of a congenital heart defect. Nemours Children’s Health is honored to support the Heart Walk to demonstrate our significant leadership and commitment to heart and brain health in our community,” Mr. Mumford said.

Mr. Mumford joined Nemours in 2020. He is an accomplished leader with 30 years of experience helping complex organizations achieve strategic and operational objectives. Prior to joining Nemours, Mark served as the Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Throughout his career, Mark has held executive financial positions with highly recognized corporations — P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and PetSmart. Mr. Mumford received his bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University.
