Health care executive to lead women’s heart health movement in Central Massachusetts

The American Heart Association has named Cynthia Barginere, chief operating officer of UMass Memorial Health, as chair of the 2026 Central Massachusetts Go Red for Women movement, launching the region’s first-ever Go Red for Women Luncheon. The campaign will focus on empowering women to take action for their heart and brain health, closing gaps in education, access to care and lifesaving prevention across Central Massachusetts.
