Local hospital executive to lead 2026 Boston Heart Walk and citywide push for CPR readiness

Lisa Abbott, executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Boston Children’s Hospital, has been named chair of the 2026 Boston Heart Walk, leading a year-round effort to raise lifesaving funds and expand CPR education across Greater Boston. A longtime American Heart Association volunteer and board leader, Abbott brings both professional leadership and a personal connection to the mission as she works to build a stronger community of lifesavers.
